Garment repair offers a promising circular business model for reducing pre-consumer industrial waste by addressing damages in the textile manufacturing process. Repairing and restoring garments is significantly more cost-effective than producing new ones, reducing the need for fresh resources and preventing waste. This approach tackles one of the most resource-intensive and environmentally harmful aspects of the fashion industry. The founders of Compreli have spent the past decade experimenting with new materials and techniques to deliver superior repair services to apparel manufacturers in Sri Lanka. What began with a single manufacturer quickly grew as demand surged, leading to the establishment of Compreli back in 2018. Today, we repair nearly 60 different defect types found in textiles, apparel, and accessory products. Our strong commitment to fast service and end-user safety motivates our R&D team to continuously develop new and improved solutions.
